On behalf of the men and women, whom are members of Patrol Squadron Forty Four, welcome to our web site. We hope that you will find our site entertaining as well as informative. This site is several pages long, so please visit them all and enjoy the WWII art work and the information on the pages. Please be patient as some of the art work takes time to load. Patrol Bombing Squadron 44 is a cyber squadron on EA Sports Airwarrior IIIMV. Airwarrior is a real time WWII combat simulation. It can be accessed though EA.com. Our Squadron is named after a Squadron that actually exsisted. Though the missions are far different. We emulate the pride of Naval Aviation. The GOLDEN PELICANS are currently deployed in the Large Island arena of airwarrior in relaxed realism. We are a Cz team squadron and we bring to war some of the best pilots in the game. Our Mission is to conduct bombing operations. To succeed in striking, destroying and capturing enemy bases. We are a Squadron that is mission oriented and has team work as a corner stone.

SQUADRON MISSION STATEMENT
Our squadron philosphy is that we believe in TEAM WORK and a CAN DO SPIRIT! This hold true for our sister squadron, VF-22 Redcocks.THE SQUADRON PHILOSOPHY IS SIMPLE. Together we fly into harms way in support of each other and the Country of the Cz. But more than just a squadron. We like to think of ourselves as family more than just squadron mates. Though many miles span us apart from one another, we are always there for each other. On or off the airstrips or in the cyber skies of which we play, we care for each other and have bonded a many of friendships. We stand ready to answer the call reguardless of mission type, if it is to kill and capture a base, provide defensive operations and or goon or resupply a base, our squadrons are there in the forefront to do what ever it takes to achieve victory.

The Golden Pelican is the logo of VP-44. Nick named the BUD MAN. He is the symbol of determination that our target will be destroyed.

DEDICATIONS

This site is dedicated to all the real airwarriors that so long ago took to the air for the real deal. If it were not for their heroic actions and bravery, we would not be here enjoying the game we love so much. We Salute all the real airwarriors and veterans of our great America. We pray that there memories will live on and the they will never be forgotten for there contributions and sacrifices to our Nation.

I Could not go on without paying tribute to my first Commanding Officer. FA229 (Farrapo). I have missed him since his retirement from Airwarrior. He is a man, of whom I have great respect for. As a rookie pilot I learned a great deal from him. I often think in my duties of Commanding Officer, what would FA do? I know, BE BOLD!
